No. Many employers have found new employees through EmploymentWorks, but there is no requirement to hire.
Employers who provide paid work experiences may choose to offer longer-term employment if they would like to retain the talent they have discovered.
EmploymentWorks and NEUROinclusive Workforce Solutions staff will work with you to plan meaningful workplace experience opportunities aligned with your business needs. In-person support can be provided as appropriate, based on the level of engagement and the needs of both the participant and employer.
Our goal is to ensure you have the guidance, resources, and practical support needed to create a positive and productive experience. Training and professional development through NEUROinclusive Workforce Solutions is also available to strengthen confidence, inclusion practices, and long-term workforce capacity.
No. Workplace experiences are designed for learning and skill development and are not meant to replace paid staff.
For funded work experiences, EmploymentWorks can cover up to 360 hours at the local minimum wage. Employers are responsible for mandatory costs such as EI and CPP contributions.
